-You'll have remembered to name yourself "2022 crashed!" shit, i'll do it now

-Something will happen to greatly expand the community nah

-Minecraft 1.20 will be announced yeah

-Making the 1.14 work station guess again. Anything new with those? nah but we got caves and cliffs part 3 and a camel

- 70-79 gets released
- I will FINALLY make a level that'll be good
- Maybe this year I will be able to actually get 100% ATs
- I'll end up getting a few more WRs
- Code something cool for PQ (I don't know what would count as cool, so I'll just color this orange)

Real-life Predictions:
- I will finally buy some cute effeminate clothes
- I will visit literally any country outside of the rumanosphere (Romania + Moldova) (lol)
- I will become semi-fluent in European Portuguese
- I will overcome, to some extent, my trust issues

Unlikely-to-happen Predictions (not wrong):
- I will visit Portugal
- I will host a MP server
- I will meet up with another MB player
- With the occasion of turning 18 in December of 2022, maybe I will finally be able to hook-up

2022 Will either be the best year for me or the worst... Let's hope its the best.
Wasn't the worst year ever, not sure if it was the best either though, let's call this one orange.

Marble Blast Predictions:
I will continue grinding PQ way too much, making slow but steady progress towards PQRampage 2. I spent way too long on Sky High Circuit but hey I got the WR in the end so :D
- Though I will try my best, I will not achieve sub 8 on Haphazard. I did not achieve sub 8 Haphazard but I also didn't try very hard
- I will reach sub 96 minutes total time in PQ. Nope. Spent too long on Tutorial not much time to save there.
- I will gain back my top 20 on every level status. nope
I will achieve a sub 7:42 on Wrath of Anubis in an un-spliced run. HECC YEAH I DID
I will grind Arrival to Marbleland again but fail to take back my World Record. Didn't touch this one
I will remain in the top 10 general rating. Wasn't a stretch to say this would be true

Personal predictions are too personal to share this year. I hope I'm right about them though.

- I'll start making YouTube videos. Too lazy.

- New COVID-19 variants will stop appearing. Maybe? I don't know.
- I'll actually beat a video game (because I suck at video games). I still suck.

I think it will come out whenever the Ratings for Pack 8/70-79 will get done, which I don't know when that will be.

It'll be interesting to see how well I did on these predictions, since I had an up-and-down 2022. It was a year of the good, the bad, and the unpredictable!

personal MB predictions:

•I’ll still be 4th place in overall rating at the end of the year.
Yep.
•I’ll have at least 157 million overall rating.
Barely. I'm sitting at 157,480,959 currently.
•I’ll achieve at least one world record. Bonus point if it’s on an official level. (I think a good subjective goal for me this year is to start to get WRs on a “regular” basis.)
Sadge. This will be a good goal for 2023.
•I’ll post at least 5 videos on my YouTube channel.
I posted 6. Interestingly my subscriber count ballooned from 14 to 451 this year, despite my relatively limited activity on YouTube, so I think I should try to post more videos in 2023.
•I’ll get my custom total time to sub 200 minutes (excluding 70-79 if they’re released).
Easy money. Currently my custom total time is 190:25.383.
•I’ll get top 20 in all categories (overall, MBG, MBP, MBU, PQ, custom).
More easy money. I actually got top 12 in all categories.
•My total time online will be 3200±100 hours.
Nope. Currently I'm at 2919 hours. (I essentially took the second half of the year off.)

MB community predictions:

•Three people will become 100% awesome.

•No official rampages will be released, but MBP WRR 4 will be announced. Two unofficial rampages will be released.
Ok this is really 3 predictions, so I'm giving myself 1/3 here. There were no official rampages, MBP WRR 4 was not announced (although many amazing records were set and lots of progress was made), and the only unofficial rampage was the hPerks rampage.
•Packs 70-79 will not be released.
Indeed. Lots of progress has been made though, so hopefully Pack 8 (as it's being called now) happens soon.
•New world records will be set on at least two levels on the following list: Marble Decker, Despair, the Big 5 levels in MBP.
Hell yeah Marble Decker finally got beat. Actually there were three levels on this list with new world records: TTOTTS, TUFC!, Marble Decker.
•Xedron will still be #1 in overall rating and WR count, but someone will take over the #1 spot in PQ rating.
I'll give myself 1/2. Xeef briefly gave up the throne in PQ but he's got it back now. And of course he's still #1 in overall rating and WR count.

non-MB predictions:

•I’ll be a coauthor on two papers. (Publication count is a terrible way to measure progress/success, but at least this is an objective goal.)
Just one, but as I said this is a terrible metric. My research went nowhere, but it did so in a very interesting way! My colleagues and I had a lot of good ideas, but none of them seemed to pan out. We did finish writing up a paper early in the year, so that was good.
•I won’t graduate, but I’ll make decent progress on my thesis.
What a dumb prediction in hindsight. Oh well. My prediction was wrong, but I have a Ph.D. as a consolation prize.
•I’ll give a talk at a conference or a seminar. Bonus point if I complain to my advisor about having to do it.
I gave three talks actually. I don't think I complained to my advisor though, so no bonus point.
•I’ll visit two states in the USA that I haven’t visited before.
Nope, zero new states. Still sitting at 45/50.
•I’ll bike 100 miles in a day. Bonus point if it’s in a new state.
Uh well this is awkward. I did a 20 mile bike ride once, but overall I was very physically inactive in 2022. Time really does fly; the last time I biked 100 miles in a day was in 2016. I'll try to do better in 2023.
•The pandemic will not end. My university will still be in some weird “hybrid” state with some in-person and some virtual classes.
The pandemic hasn't really "ended," but this prediction is mostly wrong, since my university is behaving as if it has (classes are in-person and students aren't even required to wear masks).

Overall 2022 was a mixed bag for me, and fittingly I got exactly half of my predictions right and half of my predictions wrong. I'll be optimistic and say the glass is half full. Let's hope 2023 is even better!

IRL Predictions:
- Receive a diploma in Business in the Human Resources strand, this is what I am studying this year. (gave up cuz I was bored and work was too much)
- Complete the NZ defensive driving course and obtain my full driver's license. (got defensive, going for full this month)
- Have a better stance on my position with money and be a lot more comfortable to be spending. (yup yup)
- Possibly start a relationship with someone, helps to lower the cost of everything in terms of living. (nope)
- Absolutely continue the passion and motivation for positivity with the people around and have a sense of safety throughout the year. (I have been positive whenever I have been able to but it's just a drag for me atm, plus I hate living with my mother)
- Hopefully my body fully heals and I'll be happy with my body for once, sick of wearing the same shit everyday. (almost)

MISC Predictions:
- I will exceed over $100 donated to the MB website, literally going to do this very soon.
- Achieve a 350pp+ play on osu! (achieved a 666pp play in catch the beat, not standard)
- FC up to the second main section on Boogie in osu! (an extremely difficult stamina map)
- Start branching out into other games. (I got back into hypixel skyblock but that doesn't count)
- Broaden my music library and listen to music more just for the vibes. (vibes)

I'm seeing plenty of newer faces lurking around in the Discord server, and sometimes it's hard to tell who steps away since it happens so quietly. Definitely feel like I'm becoming one of those.

- I miraculously manage to not lose my AirPods. Have had that almost happen about five times just in my first term at uni. (+1)
They simply stopped working, but I never lost them!

- I pass every one of my classes, but not without getting a couple C's. Fully avoid D's though. (+0)
Sucks to go through a mentally rough couple of months, but still have my scholarship, so no huge loss.

- I start running, but stop by the end of the year. (+1)
Three times I made it to the gym. Still counts!

- I go the entire year without getting a significant amount of my hair cut off. (+0)
Got a solid cut right at the start of summer, and man what a good idea.

- Begin the year single, end the year single, but life nudges me towards a relationship and it doesn't end up happening. Still find a way to get laid though. (+0)
Wrong in just about every way here, but what a great way to end the year.

- Marble Blast continues to take up the majority of my gaming, but I also play Mario, Pokémon, Minecraft, and Rocket League from time to time. No completely new games for me. (+1)
Still true, but haven't seriously played Marble Blast in several months.

- The stars and planets align, and I get an internship with Jacob Collier over the summer. Half a point fallback if I get to just have a one-on-one conversation with him sometime. (+0)
Wishful thinking. How cool would that have been?

- And on the subject of Collier, I am in the top 1% of his listeners on Spotify. (+1)

- Sounders win some silverware, Mariners make the playoffs, Seahawks don't. (+1)

COVID seems to have finished being COVID in the scary way. America is definitely being America though, Russia invaded Ukraine, of course this planet is going crazy everywhere. 0.5 for a little optimism though.

Exactly half for both. Fascinating. Seems like a good handful of the Marble Blast-related predictions went down as my activity with the game drastically decreased, which is what happens when you really start growing up and adulting. I've got an exciting year ahead.

Let's see how I did. Screw making 2023 predictions here, I am abiding by my 2022 post to never make a new one again here.

Marble Blast
1.Marble Blast STOP II gets update 1.4u2 released as the final major update to the modification. +1 point.

2. STOP I Redux releases before the end of the year. +0. Still thinking about this.

3. Aaryl or Doomblah finally have time to help feature STOP II on the community highlight and update the download portal. (If you're reading this, contact me when 1.4u2 comes out. Let's get this finished - it's been delayed since Summer 2021!) +0.5 unfortunately due to the highlight never getting an update even when promised for the whole of last year. That sucks.

4. A separate STOP II forum/talk web site comes out to break away from this community. +1 point.

5. The STOP II Discord Server becomes a modification-talk zone. Not quite; but did for a little while, never really taking off. +0.5 points.

6. A large-scale celebrity plays Marble Blast STOP II before 1/1/2023. +0 - 2023?

7. Captain S. Marble finds his way to PlatinumQuest. (This likely won't happen...) +0 Better it didn't anyway, especially since I don't care for that game.

8. This Time Capsule Post does not get any Thank You's. +0 Curse the one person who did this.

9. Matan Weissman returns to stream STOP II 1.4u2. (Shame he left, because in 2020, he said he would do it again, but the hope still lives on.) +0 - no.

10. Someone finds a warehouse, hard drive, what ever...of Marble Blast GOLD's source so 64-bit can finally happen. LET'S ALL STORM GARAGEGAMES, THEY CAN'T STOP ALL OF US. +0 - long shot.

Real Life
1. The year is finally here! It's Corvette time! YAAAAAAAAA +2. I own two of them, one's a parts bin car while the other's a 2013 GS 3LT. Will hopefully make some (ACTUALLY GOOD) content on them soon.

2. I purchase and flip another Saturn Sky Red Line just for fun. +0.5 if it's a Pontiac Solstice GXP I flip instead. +0. I bought a C6 Corvette that I couldn't restore, so it's time to part it out of here.

3. I finally gain the requirements and courage to declare my major at my four-year college. +1 point for getting into the college. +1 for getting into the major.

4. I see a total of four friends I haven't seen in a long time this year, at long last. +4 if I see them all, individual points for all others I see. +4! I saw infinitefire96, my old friend Tom, my old friend Sam (FINALLY, AFTER 12 YEARS!), and my childhood friend Nat.

5. Because this has been a trend for three years: I run into and have a week/two-week long relationship with my ex again. (Please dear God, do not let this be true again.) +0 THANK GOD.

6. Atlas / DarkPikachu23 contacts me and we send my snail-mail request to ROBLOX Corporation. +10 if they reactivate my account. He never even responded, and I moved on from this in January 2022. +0

7. The summer camp I help run happens in person this year. (COME ON, IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS ALREADY!!!) +1, although it was half capacity. 2023 looks better.

8. I successfully complete a total of five internships related to my major before 1/1/2023. +1.⑥7 points. (5/3, with 3 completed.)

9. My childhood home is bought. +5 if it gets demolished. +0. 2023 looks like the year.

10. On top of that, there will be some random object I loved that I lost YEARS ago will be rediscovered upon the demolition of my childhood home. +1 more if it gets returned to me in acceptable condition (or above). +1 for the object, even though no demolition has been done yet. My old red Game Boy was found in a bush by some gardeners. It doesn't work anymore, no bonus points.

Miscellaneous
1. Donald J. Trump is charged with something in relation to the January 6 Insurrection against the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington D.C. +1 point for each member of the Trump Administration that gets charged with something. +1.5 (0.5*3 for each) for Trump and the two lawyers (Eastman and one other I can't remember) recommended to the DOJ for criminal charge referrals, but no actual charges have been filed yet. Meadows very unlikely.

2. BrickPlanet lasts past 1/1/2023. It technically did. I don't play anymore. +1 point.

3. Tekannabrand, Inc. becomes a startup company that works on Unity projects. Still working on this. +0.5 points.

4. YouTube recognizes one of the modifications listed here as an actual game rather than just being "Marble Blast" or "Marble Blast Gold". (Anything that's not a modification [like a game on Steam or whatever] does not count in this prediction.) The fact that Marble Blast STOP is a top search result along with Gold and Platinum makes me think this is halfway there. +0.5 points.

5. Build Your Own Mansion in Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion is finally released to the public eye. No. I stopped caring about this game a little after I wrote this post anyway.

6. No snowfall will stick in the city I reside in AGAIN throughout 1/1/2022 to 1/1/2023. +0. I hate snow.

7. Either of these make some sort of comeback: Big Time Rush, Zoey 101, Drake and Josh, or The Amanda Show. +1 more for each comeback that gets released. (Since I knew about B.T.R's Tour & Robot Chicken's Drake and Josh sketch, these do not count for this prediction, which is a little sad but logical in this sense.) BTR made more comebacks, +1 point.

8. Someone unscrambles this prediction and finds out how to solve it: "rnioge / iths / os / neds / erdrwa / he / uroy / cudbnmsrael / si / eno / oiqJru / to / ethn / t.i / nca / fI / vahe / egssema / vaperit / oyu". 10. Of course, I do a dark prediction every year: With the current trends we've seen regarding COVID-19 and its variants, we are very well aware of the memorable ones: Delta and Omicron. Delta has been more lethal and can sort-of evade vaccines, causing breakthroughs in individuals. Omicron is less lethal and harmful to the lungs, but it can evade all sorts of vaccines, even for those who have boosters. I have a bad feeling that we're going to see a combination of Delta + Omicron (or something similar to the concept) where we will get a very deadly, highly infectious variant of COVID-19 that can evade all types of vaccines, sending us back to March 2020-April 2020 lockdown and panic levels. China looks a little concerning. . . +0.5

2022 with regards to marble blast honestly had my attention split between other marble games for like half the year and MBG/PQ for another half, resulting in not much progress being made in some of these predictions as I'd hoped. Wasn't really expecting that, but hey at least they're fun. I do hope that after February I can cut down on putting attention on other marble games and focus solely on MBG/PQ for most of the year, along with other games on the side. For now I'll just see what I got right and wrong.

Ball Shit
1. Reach 125 million rating
- 110 million as of writing, I'm never gunna gain much rating without actually putting time into Leaderboard customs

2. Have a total of 50 WRs by the end of the year
- 38 as of writing, technically 37 since one of them doesn't count (I love being the center of a controversy). I was at roughly 30 at the start of 2022, not surprising given where I spent my time

- I made 2 levels. Skill Issue is the greatest level ever created in MIU and its not even a debate. If your level doesn't have a traplaunch its boring

- Ended up with only 2, both on really short levels. Turns out I have a hard time picking MBP WRs to grind cuz a lot of them just seem god awful. I tried Daedal Helix for a brief moment and got 2nd, so I might revisit it eventually... just gotta figure out the infamous Force Havoc Zone in Rewind whenever I get the chance

11. I improve Moebius Strip and get another MBG record under by belt
- Not only did I improve Moebius, I got 2 other MBG WRs under my belt, with another getting axed cuz no one could handle me playing like TAS

• The Washington Football Team will be renamed the Washington Commanders. They kind of gave it away early.
• The MLB Playoffs will expand. They expanded from 10 teams to 12.
• The Seattle Mariners will finally make the MLB Playoffs. They have nowhere to go but up from here.
• The Portland International Auto Show will go on as planned. It did, if smaller than usual.
• I will build a new gaming PC. Didn't get around to doing it.
• I will get new gaming peripherals. Nothing has changed.
• The COVID-19 pandemic will start to subside. This has pretty much happened.
• The semiconductor shortage (affecting mostly GPUs and game consoles) will improve. It's gotten a lot better.
